24.02.2020
More than 200 participants from 55 countries, including ministers, government officials, representatives of federations and scientists, participated in the 3rd International Ethnosport Forum, which was held on February 22-23 in Antalya, Turkey.

Theme of the forum was “Reviving Traditional Sports”. There were identified the problems of traditional sports and were proposed ways to solve them. There was an exchange of information between different geographical regions. In the future, the International Ethnosport Forum will generate ideas for achieving the short, medium and long term goals of traditional sports and games.

The Russian delegation was headed by the Director of the Department of State Regulation in Sports and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation Boris Grishin.

Russian regions were represented by the Republic of Tatarstan, Altai region and, of course, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). At the same time, Yakutia was cited as a sample. The Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Innokentiy Grigoriev was awarded a special highest recognition for his contribution to the development of Ethnosport.

At the reception of the President of the World Confederation, the First Vice-President of the International Mas-Wrestling Federation Alexander Kim-Kimen voiced all our proposals for cooperation with this authoritative international organization, which were listened carefully and endorsed. Mas-Wrestling will now be included in the program of the World Nomad Games constantly and the Islamic Games in the future.

During the meeting, Bilal Erdogan and Boris Grishin many times mentioned Mas-Wrestling as a national sport, which received world recognition. Indeed, Mas-Wrestling is more than successfully integrated into the world sports movement. It is also encouraging that at such a high level Mas-Wrestling was presented by colleagues from Pakistan and Bangladesh.
