Mas-wrestling competition within the V World Nomad Games - 2024

1. Aims and objectives
Competitions are held within the sports program of V World Nomad Games - 2024 (hereinafter WNG-2024) with the aim of popularization traditional games and competitions of the world’s peoples and solves the following tasks:
- strengthening friendly sporting relationship among countries;
- сontribution to the preservation of historical cultural heritage of the world’s peoples;
- popularization and promoting of mas-wrestling;
- determination the strongest mas-wrestling athletes.
2. Date and venue
International mas-wrestling tournament within WNG-2024 is held in Astana, Kazakhstan, as part of the sports program of WNG-2024 at Alau Ice Palace, on address Kabanbai Batyr Street, building 47, from 7th to 15th September of 2024.
Arrival day – September 7, 2024, departure day – September 15, 2024.

3. Management
General management of preparation and holding of Championship is carried out by the International Mas-wrestling Federation, Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of World Nomad Games 2024, World Ethnosport Confederation.
Direct responsibility of holding the competition carried on the Directorate for the preparation and holding of the 5th World Nomad Games 2024 and Grand Jury, approved by the Organizing Committee on holding and preparation World Nomad Games and agreed by the International Mas-wrestling Federation.
4. Participation terms
In International mas-wrestling tournament within WNG-2024 allowed to participate a world’s national teams regardless of the continent. Allowed to participate athletes 18 y.o. and over (age determines by date of birth), passed medical examination and permitted to engage in power sports by the application of the National Mas-wrestling Federations or authorized bodies of physical culture and sport.
The National Mas-wrestling Federations are entitled to be represented up to 12 (twelve) athletes, but no more than 2 (two) athletes in a weight category, All-Russian Mas-wrestling Federation – up to 12 (twelve) athletes, but no more than 1 (one) athlete in a weight category.
National federations are recommended to include in their delegation 1 (one) referee of the corresponding referee’s category to work as part of the judging panel of the competition.
Team composition – 15 people: 12 athletes, 1 coach, 1 representative and 1 referee.
Participants are required to perform in sports form in accordance with the rules of the International Mas-wrestling Federation (red or blue mas-wrestling shorts (by draw) and in sports shoes without spikes with soft soles.
Allowed to wear a parade uniform with logos of event organizers and sponsor organization.
Participants grant the organizers the right to photograph, film or otherwise use the voice, appearance and name. Further, the content can be displayed, distributed or otherwise used in merchandising and advertising to promote the sport in any media now known and possible in the future. The rights are granted indefinitely and without additional compensation.
5. Visa
Delegations of countries that require a VISA to stay in the territory of Kazakhstan must send to the organizers in advance a list of participants for visa processing, indicating full names, gender, passport numbers (indicating the date of issue and expiration date), dates of birth, a scanned copy of the first informative passport pages.
6. Conditions for holding competition
Competitions are of a personal nature and held according to the current rules of the International Mas-Wrestling Federation.
Depending on the number of participants in the weight categories, in the competition system changes are possible according to the competition rules:
− for 7 or more athletes in the weight category according to the system with elimination after two defeats, divided into groups "A" and "B";
− for 6, 5, 4 or 3 athletes in a weight category, a round robin system is used;
− for 2 or 1 athlete in a weight category, the weight category is added to the next one.
International mas-wrestling tournament within WNG-2024 is held in next weight categories:

The final results (protocols) on paper and electronic form should be given to the International Mas-Wrestling Federation in 2 (two) weeks after the event is over.
7. Insurance
Participation in the competitions is allowed only in case of presence of the insurance of life and health from accidents (original) for each athlete, which is submitted to the commission for registration and admission of participants. Insurance fees of the athletes carry the sending organizations.
8. Safety
Competitions to be held in sport buildings, agreeable to the standards of corresponding standard rules of law, functioning in the territory of Kazakhstan and directed to provide public order and safety of participants and spectators, in the presence of acts of operational readiness of sports buildings for the activities, approved in the prescribed order. Qualified medical personnel should present in the competition venue.
9. Financing
All costs connected with the preparation and holding of competition, under the terms of the equity, carry the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of World Nomad Games, International Mas-wrestling Federation, World Ethnosport Confederation, State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) «Republican Center of National Sports named after V. Manchaary», ANO «World Mas-wrestling Center» and Mas-Wrestling Development Fund «Planet Mas-Wrestling».
The costs (accommodation, meals) of sending 12 (twelve) athletes and 1 (one) team representative, 1 (one) coach, 1 (one) referee are carry by the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of World Nomad Games.
The costs of sending other participants, as well as expenses of entry visas, travel costs and insurance of all participants are carry by the sending organizations.
10. Awarding
Top three athletes in each weight category and absolute category to be awarded with medals and diplomas.
11. Applications
Countries wishing to participate in the WNG Astana 2024 sports program shall fill in an electronic application of the established format on the official website of WNG Astana 2024 www.worldnomadgames.kz by July 15, 2024, containing the following information:
- list of members of the official delegation of the participating country and requests by kinds of sports;
- application forms of participants of the competitions in accordance with the form approved by the Directorate (athletes, coaches, referees, representatives) with photos attached;
- scanned copies of passports of all members of the delegation, visas (if required for a certain country) and insurance documents.
In order to ensure timely meeting of sports delegations at the places of arrival, the participating countries should inform the dates of arrival and departure to the Republic of Kazakhstan by August 15, 2024.
The final deadline for registration of application forms for participation in the WNG Astana 2024 is July 15, 2024. The host has the right to refuse a delegation, a team or athlete to participate in the Games, even if the application for participation was submitted within the prescribed time, the refusal shall be accompanied by a detailed explanation of the reasons.

Preliminary applications with the obligatory indication of the number of athletes, coaches, and representatives are submitted until July 15, 2024 on address:

- medical certificates with a doctor’s visa on admission to the competition.
12. Marketing and advertising
The Organizing Committee guarantees maintenance of Sponsor rights by the partners and sponsors of the International Mas-Wrestling Federation, appointed in the appropriate Agreements as well as basic principles of marketing of the International Mas-wrestling Federation.
13. Media
The Organizing Committee guarantees accordance of the appropriate conditions of work on the event for accredited media representatives in accordance with the Statement of the International Mas-wrestling Federation on Mass-Media.
