The Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Innokenty Grigoriev also attended the meeting.

According to Alexander Akimov, the theme of sports for the north is very important: To live there, you need to be physically strong, courageous, to be able to overcome difficulties. "The weak will not survive in the North,- said Alexander Akimov, - it is necessary to engage in sports, get strong, run on skis and shoot straight."

He reported to the Federal Minister on the activities and development of the International Mas-Wrestling Federation (IMWF), covering 50 countries of the world where the National Federations were formed. “We are actively conducting international rating tournaments, the World Championship, three stages of the World Cup, and All-Russian competitions, which are very popular among the population and youth, - Akimov said. - In the USA, we hold Mas-Wrestling tournaments as a part of the Arnold Classic sports festival under the personal patronage of the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger. In addition, we have developed a Targeted Program for the development of Mas-Wrestling for 10 years with the prospect of reaching the Olympic level.”

As a result of the conversation, Alexander Akimov invited Oleg Matytsin to the opening of the Mas-Wrestling World Championship in Yakutsk, which will be held during the national Yakut holiday Ysyakh in June 2020. The Minister promised to take part in the IMWF Congress and to consider the construction of the International Mas-Wrestling Center in Yakutsk. In addition, the parties discussed the future fate of the International Sports Games “Children of Asia” and the construction of sports facilities in Yakutia.
