The insidious affliction sweeping the world today has torn from our ranks a dear friend, our colleague, the pioneer of Mas-Wrestling in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, international class mas-wrestling referee.
The vice-president of National Mas-Wrestling Federation Erkinbek Tezekbaev was an integral part of all significant international Mas-Wrestling competitions. Big, strong, with a strong-willed eye he always drew attention right away. He was always in the center of things. He was trustworthy, kind to everyone and immediately disposed to himself.
The pupil of the Soviet sport, master of sport of the USSR in sambo, he was not indifferent in all matters relating to the physical education and development of national sports not only in his country, but throughout the world. In 2013, he opened the national Mas-Wrestling federation and began to develop it. An enthusiast with a warm heart, he was principled about everything. We know him as a fair referee.
Thanks to his tireless work, Kyrgyzstan has formed a very worthy national team of Mas-Wrestling, which now surprises the whole world with its cohesion and excellent athletic performance. The confrontation of Kyrgyz athletes with world top athletes is always very interesting event on the Mas-Wrestling platform. People admire his disciples and they are role model to the young generation.
Messages of sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of our colleague are being sent in different languages from all continents. There are hundreds of them. No one is indifferent. Everyone, from athletes to leadership, took this pain as their own. There is no other’s grief. Especially among us, mas-wrestlers of the world.
A great family man, Erkinbek raised four children - three daughters and a son. It’s very difficult to write about him in the past tense. We’ll miss him… Rest in peace. We will honor his memory forever.
Take care of yourself! Appreciate every day of your life.
