Mas-wrestling gets support in the Republic of Congo

The meeting was attended by the regional representative of the African Center for Mas-Wrestling, Mr. Rodrig-Alexis Bokatula.
Let us recall that Jarny Varnel Kimpeidi is a titled mas-wrestler and proudly represents his country at international competitions. He is the bronze medalist of the 2022 World Championship in mas-wrestling, which was held in Yakutia, the homeland of the sport. He has repeatedly defended the honor of the Republic of Congo at student tournaments of Russian and international levels and even won the Russian Championship in mas-wrestling among students. At the end of July, the Congolese madjyny (mas-wrestler) will go to Mongolia to participate in the VII Mas-wrestling World Championship.
During the conversation with Ilyas Farhadovich, the prospects of Russian-Congolese relations in sports were discussed, including in the context of plans to create the Mas-wrestling Association of the Republic of Congo. Thus, the master's student of the Faculty of Journalism at Ufa State University of Science and Technology fully justified our hopes and is becoming a true ambassador of mas-wrestling on the African continent. We hope that the day is near when the first official African Championship in mas-wrestling will be held in his homeland.
