The Republic of the Congo has launched the development of school mas-wrestling

Jarny Varnel Kimpedi, the Head of the Mas-Wrestling Association of the Republic of Congo, met with the director of the Department of Sports and Physical Education of Pointe-Noire. The meeting focused on promoting this new sport — mas-wrestling — throughout the country.

During the talks, both parties highlighted the advantages of mas-wrestling, its accessibility for mass-format development, and its promising prospects for Congolese athletes to enter the international sports arena. The negotiations resulted in the signing of an official document.

The Memorandum of Understanding on strategic partnership for the development and integration of mas-wrestling in the school environment was signed by the parties:

The Congolese Mas-Wrestling Association (ACMW), operating through its liaison offices in the Republic of Congo, represented by its President, two-time World Championship bronze medalist Mr. Jarny Varnel Kimpedi, duly authorized for the purposes of this Agreement, hereinafter referred to as the "Congolese Mas-Wrestling Association," on the one hand, and the bilingual educational institution LIGHT WORLD SCHOOL "LWS," located in Pointe-Noire/Mongo-Kamba, represented by its institution head and General Director: Mr. Xavier Richard Pemboy, hereinafter referred to as the "Educational Institution," on the other hand.

Article 1: Purpose of the Partnership

The purpose of this Agreement is to establish a framework of cooperation between ACMW and the Educational Institution for the implementation, promotion, and regular practice of mas-wrestling among students with the objective of fostering their physical, spiritual, and civic development.

Article 2: Obligations of the Association (ACMW)

Within the scope of this partnership, ACMW undertakes to:

Training: Provide technical, theoretical, and regulatory training for physical education and sports instructors at the Educational Institution.

Certification: Issue certificates of enrollment in the official Mas-Wrestling program to teachers who successfully complete the accreditation process.

Engagement and Demonstrations: Ensure representation and conduct public demonstration showcases at school functions and major athletic events hosted by the Educational Institution.

Promotion: Cover joint initiatives with the Educational Institution across national media outlets and professional networks to reinforce brand visibility and image.

Technical Expertise: Supply the Educational Institution with a regulatory framework fully compliant with the standards of the International Mas-Wrestling Federation (IMWF).

Article 3. Obligations of the Educational Institution.

In turn, the institution commits to the following:

Pedagogical Integration: Authorize certified instructors to incorporate introductory Mas-Wrestling courses and group training sessions into regular Physical Education and Sports (EPS) classes.

Material and Technical Equipment: Provide mas-wrestling equipment for student training.

Intramural Competitions: Co-organize an annual Educational Institution championship alongside the ACMW to identify and honor the top athletes across weight categories.

Article 4: Synergy

Participant Motivation.

Both parties agree to collaborate on the joint planning and execution of sporting events.

Establish awards, including medals and certificates of honor, to recognize outstanding athletes.

Elite students of the Educational Institution will receive priority consideration for inclusion in national and international rosters.

Article 5: Duration, Termination, and Renewal
