on holding International Mas-wrestling Tournament
within the 2026 ARA Festival
Aims and objectives
- determination the strongest mas-wrestling athletes;
- improvement of sportsmanship of athletes;
- strengthening friendly sporting relationship among countries.
International mas-wrestling tournament within the 2026 ARA Festival is held on July 15- 18, 2026 in Arkhangai aimag, Mongolia, at the ARA Complex.
Competition Program: *
July 15 (Wednesday) - arrival day
July 16 (Thursday)
10.00 – 10.30 – work of Commission on registration and admission of participants
10.30 – 11.30 – weigh-in and drawing of participants
11.30 – 12.30 – meeting of the Ground Jury with team representatives;
July 17 (Friday) – competition day
15.00 – 15.30 – opening ceremony
16.00 – 20.00 – preliminary, semifinal and final bouts
20.00 – 20.30 – awarding ceremony
July 18 (Saturday) – departure day

General management of preparation and holding of tournament is carried out by the International Mas-wrestling Federation, Mas-wrestling Federation of Mongolia, Administrator of the Governor of Arkhangai aimag of Mongolia, ARA Complex, ANO «World Mas-wrestling Center».
Direct responsibility of holding the event carried on the Ground Jury, approved by the International Mas-wrestling Federation.
Allowed to participate athletes aged of 18 (at least before the day of competitions) and over, passed medical examination and permitted to engage in power sports by the application of the National Mas-Wrestling Federations or authorized bodies.
Participants are required to perform in sportswear No.1 or No.3 in accordance with the rules of the International Mas-wrestling Federation.
Competitions are of a personal nature and are held according to the current 2025 International Mas-wrestling Rules.
National Mas-wrestling Federations have the right to field one (1) athlete per weight category. The Mas-wrestling Federation of Mongolia, as the host, have the right to field two (2) athletes per weight category.
Depending on the number of participants in the weight categories, in the competition system changes are possible according to the competition rules:
− for 7 or more athletes in the weight category according to the system with elimination after two defeats, divided into groups "A" and "B";
− for 6, 5, 4 or 3 athletes in a weight category, a round robin system is used;
− for 2 and 1 athletes in a weight category, the weight category is added to the next weight category.
Weight categories:
- men 65 kg, 75 kg, 90 kg, 125 kg, 125+kg.
Participants grant the organizers the right to photograph, film or otherwise use the voice, appearance and name. Further, the content can be displayed, distributed or otherwise used in merchandising and advertising to promote the sport in any media now known and possible in the future. The rights are granted indefinitely and without additional compensation.
The final results (protocols) on paper and electronic form should be given to the International Mas-Wrestling Federation in 2 (two) weeks after the event is over.
Participation in the competitions is allowed only in case of presence of the insurance of life and health from accidents (original), which is submitted to the commission for registration and admission of participants.
Insurance fees of the athletes carry the sending organizations.
Competitions to be held in sport buildings, agreeable to the standards of corresponding standard rules of law, functioning in the territory of Mongolia and directed to provide public order and safety of participants and spectators.
Qualified medical personnel should present in the competition venue.
All costs connected with the preparation and holding of competition, under the terms of the equity, carry the Mas-wrestling Federation of Mongolia, Administrator of the Governor of Arkhangai aimag of Mongolia, ARA Complex, ANO «World Mas-wrestling Center».
The costs of expenses of tournament’s participants (travel, insurance, visa costs) are carry by the sending organizations.
The costs of expenses of accommodation and meals of athletes and internal transfer to the competition’s venue and back, from July 15th to 18th are borne by Mas-wrestling Federation of Mongolia.
Top three athletes in each weight category to be awarded with medals, diplomas, and money prize with amount:
1st place – $2500;
2nd place – $1500;
3rd places – $1000.
For 6 and less athletes in a weight category, only one athlete to be awarded for 3rd place.
Preliminary applications for participation are submitted before June 15, 2026 to the email address:

The national flag of the country, anthem on electronic media, nominal and technical applications signed by the head of the national mas-wrestling federation and a doctor, as well as the originals of the following documents for each athlete are presented to the commission for admission of participants to competitions:
- passport, certifying the nationality of the participant or a representing country’s residence
permit;
- life and health insurance policy against accidents (original).
Delegations of countries that require a VISA to stay in Mongolia must send to the organizers until May 1, 2026 for visa processing, indicating full names, gender, passport numbers (also their dates of issue and validity), dates of birth, a scanned copy of the first informative page of the passport.
The Organizing Committee guarantees maintenance of Sponsor rights by the partners and sponsors of the International Mas-wrestling Federation, appointed in the appropriate Agreements.
The Organizing Committee guarantees accordance of the appropriate conditions of work on the event for accredited media representatives in accordance with the Statement of the International Mas-wrestling Federation on Mass-Media.
This Regulation is the official challenge to the competition.
