Mas-Wrestling tournament among students of specialized schools was held in Uzbekistan
On March 18 in the city of Almalyk the Tashkent region mas-wrestling championship was held among students of specialized educational institutions with the support of the city's Khokim, the city Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Mas-Wrestling Federation of Uzbekistan and Special Olimpics Uzbekistan.
The goal was to promote sports as an alternative to negative habits and create a festive mood, promote a healthy and active lifestyle, as well as identify talented children.
48 students from six regions of Tashkent region took part in mas-wrestling competitions.
Competitions were held in four categories among girls and four among boys.
In the overall team competition, the first place was taken by the team from the city of Almalyk, the second - by the team from the city of Cherchik, the third - from Angren.
All winners and prize-winners were awarded with gifts from the city Khokimiat.
The young participants really liked the mas-wrestling. All showed perseverance in achieving the goal. They fought supporting each other. Such events teach children to show their individual capabilities, instill physical self-improvement skills, strengthen their health, develop observation, intelligence, resourcefulness, agility and speed in children with special needs.
The leadership of the Mas-Wrestling Federation of Uzbekistan intends to continue to hold competitions among children with intellectual disabilities. And in general, it supports colleagues from Russia, the USA and Armenia in the development of adaptive mas-wrestling.
