REGULATIONS 

Open Mas-wrestling Team Cup, dedicated to the 30th anniversary 

of the Mas-wrestling Federation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) 

1. Aims and objectives

Open Mas-wrestling Team Cup, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Mas-wrestling Federation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) (hereinafter Team Cup) is held to develop mas-wrestling in the world and solves the following tasks: - determination the strongest mas-wrestling teams; - strengthening friendly sporting relationship among countries.

2. Management

General management of preparation and holding of Team Cup is carried out by the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), International Mas-wrestling Federation, All-Russian Mas-wrestling Federation, Mas-wrestling Federation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), SBI RS(Y) "Republican Center for National Sports named after. V. Manchaary ", JSC "Komdragmetall RS(Y)".

Direct responsibility of holding the competitions carried on the Grand Jury, approved by the Mas-wrestling Federation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

3. Date and venue

Team Cup is held from November 30 to December 6, 2026 in Yakutsk, Russia, in Triumph Sports Complex on address: 1, Oyunskogo St.

Competition program:

November 30 (Monday) – arrival day

December 1-3 (Tuesday-Thursday) – preparation events

December 4 (Friday)

10.00 - 12.00 – work of commission for admission of participants

14.00 - 16.00 – weighing of participants and drawing of lots for the teams  

16.30 - 17.00 – meeting of the panel of referees with team representatives and coaches.  

December 5 (Saturday)

10.00 - 13.00 – preliminary bouts

14.00 - 14.30 – opening ceremony

14.30 - 19.00 – preliminary, semi-final and final bouts  

19.00 – Awarding ceremony. Closing ceremony.  

December 6 (Sunday) – departure day.

The competition schedule may change.

4. Participation terms

In the Team Cup allowed to participate athletes aged of 18 and over, passed medical examination and permitted to engage in power sports.

The competitions are of a team format. 12 (twelve) teams are participating.

Each team consists of 9 (nine) athletes.

6 (six) will be made up of districts teams of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), by the result of 2026 Republican Championship in the team competition:

1. Amginsky district    

2. Megino-Kangalassky district  

3. Tattinsky district

4. Ust-Aldansky district

5. Khangalassky district  

6. Churapchinsky district.

Athletes who are natives of these districts, as well as those who have been living and working in these municipal areas for at least six months, have the right to join the districts teams of Yakutia, if they provide the appropriate documents - an identity card indicating the place of birth, registration or a certified copy of the workbook.    

The remaining 6 (six) teams consist of participants from abroad by continental affiliation (while Eurasia is divided into two parts: Europe and Asia):

1. Australia and Oceania

2. Africa

3. Asia

4. Europe

5. North America

6. South America

The continental teams include the winners of international tournaments, world championships, continental and national championships - citizens of the countries of the respective continent.  

Foreign participants must submit to the admission commission an identity card with registration indicating her/his nationality.  

At the same time, up to 2 (two) foreign players from other continents can be included in the national teams of the continents.

Participants are required to perform in sportswear in accordance with the rules of the International Mas-wrestling Federation.  

Members of national teams must wear formal sports uniforms and team flags to participate in the parade and award ceremony.

5. Conditions for holding competitions

5.1 The competition is held on the wall-to-wall principle with all teams divided into two groups (A and B) of 6 teams each. Competition within the groups is conducted using an elimination system after two defeats.

Team Structure and Distribution:

Group A: National teams of the districts of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Russia.

Teams No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

Group B: National teams of the world’s continent.

Teams No. 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12

The two best teams from Groups A and B advance to the finals for first and third place.

5.2. Each team is divided into the following weight categories: 

- men: 60 kg, 70 kg, 80 kg, 90 kg, 105 kg, 125 kg, 125+ kg; 

- women: 70 kg, over 70 kg.

5.3. Each athlete has the right to compete in only one weight category. It is prohibited to enter two or more athletes from the same team in the same category.

5.4. For the victory in each match meeting ("wall to wall"), the team is awarded 1 (one) point.

5.5. The final places of the teams are determined according to the following criteria (in order of priority):

1. Elimination stage (round): the advantage is given to the team that has passed further along the tournament grid. 

2. Number of points scored: the total amount of wins in matchups.

3. Face-to-face meetings and the quality of wins: when scores are equal, the results of face-to-face matches between teams and the ratio of won/lost fights within weight categories are taken into account.

4. Total weight of the team: if all the above indicators are equal, the team with the lowest total weight of all its participants gets the advantage (according to the official weighing protocols).

The final results (protocols) on paper and electronic form should be given in 2 (two) weeks after the sports event is over.

Participants grant organizers a right to take a photo, to film or otherwise use their voice, appearance and name. Further, the content can be displayed, distributed or otherwise used in merchandising and advertising to promote the sport in any media now known and possible in the future. The rights to be granted indefinitely and without additional compensation.

6. Insurance

Participation in the competitions is allowed only in case of presence a life and health insurance policy against accidents (original) for each person. Insurance fees of the athletes carry the sending organizations.

7. Safety

Competitions to be held in sport buildings, agreeable to the standards of corresponding standard rules of law, functioning in the territory of Russia and directed to provide public order and safety of participants and spectators.

Qualified medical personnel should present in the competition venue.

8. Financing

All costs connected with the preparation and holding of Team Cup on the terms of equity carry the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), International Mas-wrestling Federation, All-Russian Mas-wrestling Federation, Mas-wrestling Federation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), SBI RS(Y) "Republican Center for National Sports named after. V. Manchaary ", JSC "Komdragmetall RS(Y)".

Expenses incurred by the participants of the Team Cup for obtaining entry visas to the territory of the Russian Federation shall be borne by the sending organizations.

Travel expenses for the competition participants along the Moscow-Yakutsk–Moscow route, as well as the provision of the Team Cup prize fund, shall be covered by JSC "Komdragmetall RS(Y)".

Expenses for the internal transfer of the Team Cup participants shall be borne by the Organizing Committee of the Team Cup.

Expenses for the accommodation and meals of the Team Cup participants at the hotel of the "Triumph" Sports Complex, located at 1 Oyunskogo St.,

Yakutsk, shall be covered by the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

9. Awarding

The team-winner to be awarded the Mas-wrestling Federation Cup of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and a valuable prize.

Top three team to be awarded with medals, diplomas and valuable prizes.  

The teams that took the 4th-12th places are awarded with memorable prizes.
