The President of the International Mas-wrestling Federation warmly welcomed the members of the Presidium fr om different countries and invited guests.

"I am glad to welcome you to this wonderful sports festival - the VII World Mas-wrestling Championship among men and women and the World Championship among boys and girls, taking place in the vast expanses of the Mongolian steppe, said the President. I express my great gratitude to you for being able to come despite the long distances. Despite the difficulties in the world, the International Federation continues its path to Olympus and is carrying out systematic work on the development of mas-wrestling in the world.

On behalf of the International Mas-Wrestling Federation and the entire mas-wrestlers community of the world, we express our gratitude to the Government of Mongolia for the warm and cordial reception. Special thanks to the Honorary President of the Mas-wrestling Federation of Mongolia, Erdenevanchig Batbaatar, and the President of the Federation, Menkhsuren Erdenebaatar, for their initiative and hard work in preparing and organizing such a large-scale event".

Further, the President noted the importance of strengthening work among the youth of the world and the relevance of intensifying the activities of the World Student Mas-Wrestling League. Working with student youth is our common contribution to the future of mas-wrestling. By attracting young people from the student environment, we are working for the future, because qualified specialists take the skills they have acquired from Russia home and will further contribute to the development of mas-wrestling in their homeland.

A vivid confirmation of this policy is Erdenevanchig Batbaatar, who, after graduating from the Churapchinsky State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports and then the North-Eastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov in Yakutsk, wh ere he became acquainted with mas-wrestling, brought mas-wrestling in Mongolia to the world level. The Asian Championship and Championship in mas-wrestling were successfully held here in 2023, and the 2025 world championships in mas-wrestling among adults and youth are being held these days.

For outstanding achievements in promoting mas-wrestling in the world, President Alexander Konstantinovich nominated Presidium member of the IMWF Erdenevaanchig Batbaatar for the position of Vice President of the International Mas-wrestling Federation, who will be responsible for popularizing mas-wrestling in East Asia, covering countries such as China, Korea, and Japan.

The topic of the World Student League was presented by the First Vice President of the International Mas-wrestling Federation, Alexander Kim-Kimen. He also cited an example of successful work in the student environment, the results of which are already visible today. This is the creation of the Mas-Wrestling Association in Congo, whose president and founder is Jarny Varnel Kimpedi, a graduate of the Faculty of Bashkir Philology, Oriental Studies, and Journalism of the Ufa University of Science and Technology. This national federation has applied for membership in the IMWF, for which everyone voted unanimously.

The meeting participants adopted another official IMWF document – a Memorandum on the development of student mas-wrestling in the world.

The International Mas-wrestling Federation, within the framework of a previously signed agreement with the All-Russian Children's Center Smena, plans to hold presentation events on mas-wrestling for participants of the Presidential Sports Games on September 18-22 of this year, which will be conducted by lecturers from among foreign students.

Vice President Lena Tomskaya spoke about this and other plans for the current and next years in the matter of the agenda on the federation's calendar events. Talap Imataliev presented a report on the first International Mas-wrestling Tournament among students and children, organized by AGT GLOBAL, and, considering its successful conduct and demand, proposed to make it traditional.

Colleague from Canada Andrew Bollinger highly praised the organization of the North American Open Mas-wrestling Championships, held in Calgary on July 12 during the Calgary Stampede cowboy festival.

On the territory of Canada, or rather in Montreal, on July 31, 2026, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the triumph of Yakut wrestlers, it was decided to organize two match meetings among senior boys: in freestyle wrestling and mas-wrestling.

16 young athletes from different countries will compete, divided into 4 teams, on Russkiy Island from September 3-7 as part of the sports program of the Eastern Economic Forum, thanks to the sponsorship support of the Joint Stock Company Yakutia Railways.

Participation in this prestigious tournament is possible by personal invitations from the International Mas-wrestling Federation. The names of the participants have been determined, and they will represent the following countries: Angola, Belarus, Egypt, Zambia, India, Kazakhstan, Congo, Morocco, Mongolia, Nigeria, Russia, Syria, Slovakia, Turkmenistan.

This year, additional competitions in Yakut board games khabylyk and khaamyska will be organized for our athletes to continue their acquaintance with the physical culture of the Sakha people. The representative of the general partner of the IMWF – JSK Yakutia Railways, ambassador of world mas-wrestling Yulia Ryasnova and the President of the Association of National Sports of Yakutia Alexander Kim-Kimen presented the equipment to the future participants of the tournament from different countries in a solemn atmosphere at the Presidium meeting.

Oliver Kurek, Vice-President of the Slovak Mas-wrestling Association, spoke in detail about the upcoming events in Europe in October.

I am very pleased to officially announce that the 2025 European Mas-wrestling Championship will be held from November 7 to 9 in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, said Kurek. We are proud to announce that this event will be held with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Slovakia. The Minister himself will visit the championship, and we expect other high-ranking guests from the Government. This is a big step for the sport in our country.

The speech of the Slovak colleague was met with enthusiastic applause, which can be considered as support, and we hope that we will also gather a large number of participants in Slovakia.

From October 9 to 12, the traditional international mas-wrestling tournament will be held at the world-famous Mr. Olympia bodybuilding festival in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, organized by Mr. Odd Haugen.

A colleague from Poland, Agnieszka Korycka, said that she is actively working to revive mas-wrestling in the United Arab Emirates. She informed the high assembly that she places great hopes on expanding the area of mas-wrestling in the Persian Gulf countries, using the opportunities she has as a resident and entrepreneur in the UAE.

President Alexander Akimov concluded the Presidium meeting with the following address: “Dear friends, I am confident that the VII World Mas-wrestling Championship in Mongolia will be a bright event for you and may each of you demonstrate strength and skill.

I would like to thank you once again for your selfless friendship and active work on the development of Mas-Wrestling in the world and I wish all participants success, bright impressions, new acquaintances and brilliant victories!”
