Mas-wrestling included in the program of the "Five Initiatives Olympics"

The grand opening of the "Five Initiatives Olympics – 2026" took place in the Olympic Village in the Sports Palace "New Uzbekistan".

The event was attended by Vice-President of the Olympic Committee of Asia Otabek Umarov, heads of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, the National Olympic Committee, the Agency for Youth Affairs and other departments.

The Five Initiatives Olympics is an important project designed to unleash the talents of young people, identify new champions and form a healthy lifestyle. During the competition, young people interested in sports will have the opportunity to test their skills, gain new experience and pave the way to larger sports grounds in the future.

At the initiative of the President, it is planned to increase the coverage of the population with mass sports to 15 million people this year. In this regard, the competitions within the framework of the Five Initiatives Olympics will become even wider and will be held in five stages. The first stage of the competition will be held among the youth of makhallas. The rest will be held in sectors, regions, oblasts. The final stage will be held at the republican level for the prizes of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan The competitions will be massive, covering all schools, colleges, institutes and government agencies.

For the first time this season, twenty-three sports are included in the program of the Five Initiatives Olympics. Along with mini-football, volleyball, streetball, table tennis, workout, chess and checkers competitions, mass mas-wrestling competitions will be organized.

During the event, presentation events on sports were held. Ilgam Kadyrov, President of the National Mas-wrestling Federation, President of the Asian Mas-wrestling Federation, welcomed the distinguished guests at the mas-wrestling venue.
