Russian team fought and won!
Railways of Yakutia JSC Mas-wrestling Cup took place as part of the EEF sports program on September 3, 2026 in a match format: Russia vs Mongolia at the address: Vladivostok City - Russkiy Island, "Far East Street" Exhibition, Sakha (Yakutia) Republic Pavilion.
Tournament participants from Russia and Mongolia demonstrated how Yakut mas-wrestling is capable of uniting everyone around goodness, peace, and mutual understanding — for this is precisely the essence of the International Mas-wrestling Federation's role and its peacemaking mission in our global world.
The Mongolian team competed under the name "Wolves of the Great Steppe." Their team motto was: "Together we are strong and invincible."

Athletes from two countries were greeted at the ceremonial opening by Naranbataar Choijgavaa, First Vice-President of the Mongolian Olympic Committee, and Dmitry Kondratov, Executive Director of the Railways of Yakutia Joint-Stock Company.
Mr. Naranbataar Choijgavaa was delighted to welcome the strongest teams from Russia and Mongolia to this venue and wished all athletes good fortune. He noted that mas-wrestling is gaining increasingly widespread recognition in many countries and has excellent prospects for inclusion in the Olympic program.
Dmitry Kondratov proudly emphasized that the tournament at the EEF venue has long become a tradition: "The significance of this Forum is difficult to overestimate. The future of the Far Eastern region is being shaped within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum. Within this Forum, we seek pathways and develop practical solutions for the development of steel transportation routes. Today, as we build a modern transport framework, we are very careful to preserve the cultural heritage and traditions of the people whose territory the steel highway passes through.
That is precisely why we support our beloved mas-wrestling. Overall, mas-wrestling resonates with us because sport is creation. Today mas-wrestling is growing. A national sport is becoming international. This also aligns with the spirit of our company.
At the conclusion of his speech, the Executive Director of the Railways of Yakutia JSC wished the athletes good luck, the spectators bright emotions, and mas-wrestling further Olympic heights.
After brief but fierce bouts, the Russian team achieved an undisputed victory. Captain of the Russian national team Pavel Chernogradsky saved the situation from a crushing defeat of the "Wolves of the Great Steppe," conceding victory to his Mongolian opponent.
At the awards ceremony, the captain held high a Yakut crystal choron with gold trim. All the days before had brought endless rains, but on this day nature gifted abundant light and warmth. The faceted glass shimmered brilliantly in his hands in the rays of the Far Eastern sun. A bright rainbow illuminated the sky above Ajax Bay.
A friendly match-up "wall-to-wall" only fired up the competitive youth even more. Pavel Chernogradsky initiated an absolute men's championship Ajax Cup in honor of the stunning bay on whose shore Far East Street is located.
The competitions took place in a round-robin format. All the guys had a chance to wrestle to their heart's content. Russia proved its worth once again — Arthur Serdyuk from the city of Yakutsk became the absolute champion of the improvised tournament and received from the hands of the advisor to the executive director of Railways of Yakutia JSC Alexey Abramov a symbol of train journeys – a crystal glass in an exclusive glass holder. Second and third places were taken by Dyulustan Dellohov and Buyandalai Ikhbayar respectively.
The International Mas-Wrestling Federation has been conducting mas-wrestling tournaments with the participation of foreign athletes at this remarkable venue since 2017. We sincerely thank the Roskongress Foundation for long-term cooperation!
