Mongolian mas-wrestlers will pass training camp in Yakutia and compete in tournament
The team of mas-wrestlers from Mongolia plans to come to Yakutia for training. In the homeland of mas-wrestling they will prepare for the World Championship and also participate in a tournament, reports YSIA.
Mongolia will host the VII World Mas-wrestling Championship for men and women, as well as the World Championship for boys and girls on August 1-2 in the picturesque Arkhangai aimag.
The host side is intensively preparing not only to hold large international competitions at a high organizational level but also to field a strong team. For this, members of the Mongolian national team will come to the homeland of mas-wrestling. A visit of six athletes is expected.
Experienced mas-wrestlers will come to Yakutia. Among them is world medalist Unurbat Tsetsgee (90 kg), who is considered the leader of his team. Along with him, five more athletes who have already won medals at world and Asian championships will visit the republic.
Following the training camps, Mongolian strongmen will try their hand in the tournament for the prizes of the absolute champions of the Amginsky district, which is preliminarily planned to be held at the international level at the end of May.
It is worth noting that this is not the first visit of Mongolian athletes for training in Yakutia. Last year more than thirty mas-wrestlers from this country visited the republic. In 2023 they took a master-class in Yakutsk from world champions. Thanks to the training camps, the first world champion in mas-wrestling came out among Mongolian athletes.
