Information on the upcoming 2026 South American Open Mas-Wrestling Championship

"Benin, Kyrgyzstan, and Uruguay have confirmed their participation in the South American Mas-Wrestling Open. 

Representatives from France and the United States will participate for the first time. 

Participants from Argentina, Bolivia, and Chile are awaiting confirmation. 

Thus, São Paulo will bring together mas-wrestlers from Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, and South America. 

Unfortunately, several countries (Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc.) will be unable to participate due to visa issues. 

Brazil will be represented by athletes from nine states: 

- Amazonas; 

- Amapá; 

- Espirito Santo;

- Mato Grosso; 

- Para; 

- Rio Grande do Sul; 

- Rio de Janeiro;

- São Paulo; 

- Santa Catarina.  

It should be noted that only Latin American citizens will participate in the absolute continental championship. 

The strongest champions will be selected for invitations to the 8th Mas-Wrestling World Championship in Kazan, Russia.
