Novice mas-wrestlers of North Benin in training course in Djougou

After the Cotonou stage mas-wrestlers from North of Benin were in training in Djougou (about 500 km from Cotonou, the capital).
They are forty from several cities of the North to have taken part in this event. Several dozen, brand new athletes have been introduced to the practice of this sport. From the rules of this sport to the fighting technics, nothing has been forgotten by the technical director Hassane Fousseni.
After the theoretical phase on Saturday February 27, 2021, the athletes were subjected to practical tests the next day, Sunday February 28, 2021.
According to athlete Mohamed Cisse, this sport, which he is discovering for the first time, is very exciting and requires physical concentration. He promises to apply the notions received to be champion of Benin and the world in his category.
The president of Benin Mas-wrestling association Rafiou Assoumanou congratulated the technical director Hassane Housseni for his permanent availability as well as all the participants for their willingness to learn. "Mas-wrestling will be practiced in all the cities of Benin," - he promises. We need the material and financial support to organize big competitions in Benin and in West Africa "he indicated before affirming that Mas wrestling is a sport which ensures the sporting and cultural mixing.
The athletes who followed the training during this internship will in turn train the other actors from the different cities of Benin.
Competitions between teams from different cities in Benin are announced very soon. The objective is to assess the technical level and the quality of work of the different teams. Then, form a competitive national team capable of winning the various titles at the African and world level.
